Product Description
The Thai Kyuzai (also spelled Qjai or Quzai) mango plant is an elite, fast-growing grafted hybrid variety from Thailand known for producing colossal, nearly fiberless, and exceptionally sweet fruits.
KEY FRUIT CHARACTERISTICS
MASSIVE SIZE: Individual fruits typically weigh between 1 kg and 1.8 kg, and can exceed 2 kg under optimal care.
TASTE & TEXTURE: The flesh is smooth, juicy, creamy yellow, and nearly fiberless with a rich, honey-sweet flavor and peach-citrus aroma.
DUAL-STAGE EATING: Uniquely, the fruit remains crisp, crunchy, and sweet even when raw or green, and turns bright golden-yellow when fully ripe.
HIGH PULP RATIO: Features a very thin seed core, meaning the edible portion accounts for over 85% of total fruit weight.
PLANT & GROWING DETAILS
PLANT TYPE: Grafted live fruit plant (1.5 to 3 feet tall when purchased), ensuring true-to-type traits and early fruiting.
TIME TO FRUIT: Typically starts bearing fruit within 12 to 18 months of ground transplantation, much faster than seed-grown trees.
GROWTH HABIT: Naturally compact and responsive to pruning, making it ideal for both direct ground planting in orchards and container/rooftop gardening in large 20-to-50-gallon drums.
SUNLIGHT: Requires full, direct sunlight for 6 to 8 hours daily.
SOIL & CLIMATE: Thrives in tropical and subtropical climates (15°C to 40°C) in well-draining loamy, sandy, or alluvial soils with a pH of 6.0–7.5.
WATERING: Needs regular, moderate watering, allowing topsoil to dry slightly between sessions; reduce watering during flowering to prevent blossom drop.
