Product Description
An ordinary plant pot is a functional container used for cultivating and displaying plants, most commonly manufactured out of terracotta clay or lightweight plastic. Designed primarily to foster healthy root growth, an ordinary pot features essential structural components like bottom drainage holes to regulate moisture and prevent root rot.
CORE MATERIALS & VARIETIES
Depending on the specific gardening needs, ordinary plant pots are dominated by two traditional materials:
• PLASTIC NURSERY POTS: These are highly affordable, lightweight, and resilient containers. Non-porous by nature, they retain moisture for longer periods, which is ideal for gardeners who forget to water frequently. Standard sizes range from small 4-inch options up to large landscape containers.
• TERRACOTTA/CLAY POTS: Made from baked natural earth, these pots are distinctive for their rustic, warm, reddish-brown aesthetics. Because unglazed clay is highly porous, it allows superior airflow to the roots and lets excess moisture evaporate through the walls. This makes them excellent for succulents or for preventing overwatering.
